Dragon Board Festival Postponed till 2021...
Dubuque is proud participant in a water sport that gathers fellow paddlers from all over the world.Dragon Boating is open to ages 11 to over the hill. Community organizations gather to compete in a two day event, including our rival high schools.
And, since dragon boating is world wide sport, teams travel around the United States to compete in races. I traveled by Amtrak to Denver, Colorado to race at a festival. It was a great chance to explore the mountains, try white water rafting and learn more about another part of the world.
The swim team has been a part of this great opportunity for many years now, how about we create our own team?

Dubuque Dragon Boat Association's Motto
Our motto, in conjunction with the American Dragon Boat Association, is “Friendship through Paddling”. Our purpose is to encourage the building of friendships around the world through the common interest, excitement, and healthy exercise associated with paddle sports especially dragon boat competition.
What are you into?
During these three years of middle school, I strongly suggest joining one or more of the various student organizations that are offered. Signing up for an organization is normally available during registration, as well as other times through out the year. Some organizations are only offered to those in a specific class or sports team, such as Math Counts, football, or marching band. Participating in one of these groups can mean a great deal for the student involved.
