Eggcellent Experient!
Here's a eggciting experiment! For this weeks home experiment we will be finding out what type of reactions will occur when an egg is added to vinegar. Think about the different properties of the two materials. What do you think might occur when left, undisturbed for 24 hours?
What you need:
1 egg (hard boiled is less messy if you accidentally break it, but you can use a raw one)
1 cup vinegar
clear jar or glass
Directions:
Pour 1 cup of vinegar into jar
Add the egg
Record what you see
Leave the egg in the vinegar for one day.
Remove the egg
Record your observations
One Step Further:
Place egg in glass of water over night. What difference do you observe?
